How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Knowing how often artists' comments are overlooked, I tried to circumvent the error further by putting the request directly in the title itself. And yet...

I can only surmise that some of you had perhaps deliberately chosen to favourite it all the same out of a sense of loyalty (really?

). In which case I can only thank you for the display, and for knowing that I could possibly ever inspire such feelings. For the others, well, I have a choice of simply remaining mystified, or charging you with... What shall I call it? A momentary stupor, let us say. It is a more delicate 's' word to use on the occasion.

(Please bear in mind that my tongue is firmly in my cheek.

Not me! I always read desriptions, in fact I find it really annoying when people just put ... in their description. What is that all about? I love reading how pieces of art are done and what the idea behind them was. I do think dA should make it possible to use any picture as an ID though. Thank you, Laura. Yes, I do think the fuss with uploading into the ID category first is irritating. We should just be able to select a piece. There is the option of uploading something directly from the computer to use as ID, but there is an enforced cropping on that, which is no good.
