"Pharoah and Sons

We called regarding your appointment, but you were not at home."

Mother sighed. Flo was silent. Kezia fumed.

Wonderful series of images. I'm particularly fond of how well you handle fabrics and wrinkles, especially in outfits with so much material.

The story so far is just delightful... and you've such ability to create emotive and believable characters.

I can't wait to learn how they solved the problem.

I can't wait to see the rest. If this were a book I'd buy it and put it in my classroom. (Unless it was expensive. I'm pretty cheap

Hehe, thank you so much! Sadly, this won't be a book, I don't think. ^^

Mo-leh-skeen-eh? Is that how it's pronounced? Hmmm, I never knew, and I've been using them for years.

Is this a book dummy you're working on? I love your designs for all the characters.

 The name is Italian in origin. I tend to get a tad stern if people leave off the 'e' at the end and imply that it's the pelt of an unfortunate mole. :XD:

Hehe, no, I'm afraid not. As I mentioned in my notes for the first spread - it was simply something out of the blue. :D

Thank you so much!

I don't know that it will do very well. :giggle: And I so much prefer it in this sketchbook state that if anyone were to publish it, I would like it to be produced as an exact facsimile - and I somehow doubt that will be agreed on. :giggle:

Just finished looking through the whole thing, and I love it! Love the characters, and it's so true to life (especially with the exterminators not coming when they say they will). Happened to me just last week. :P

I've just read through the first eight pages..I can't wait to see more. I'm guessing there will be a moral or a message at the end of it all...I love the characters' beautiful dresses and hairstyles; it really does look like an old storybook. :)

I would very much like to see how thiss ends, if you find the time.
And this proves to me that you could illustrate your little story of moths and butterflies.
...Which I also want to see. :)

I like the story; your style, in both art and narrative, is lovely. I think critter infestations are something everbody's known at some point or the other. I also suspect a lot of us are familiar with both Flo's and Kezia's reactions (either in ourselves, or in people we know). I'd be Kezia and my sister, Flo. Your handwriting is beautiful, by the way.

Thank you so much! Kezia is based on my own sister and Flo on myself. :giggle:

The lettering here is slightly different to my actual handwriting, which is sometimes less easy to read(!): [link]

Your "actual handwriting" still looks pretty good to me. :) Few people today actually practice the art of penmanship, so I'd say you're ahead of most of us. (Despite early, and frustrated, attempts at cursive handwriting, mine has become a rather precise, but unexceptional, mix between printing and script.)

Thank you so much! I'm so pleased you like it - not so many people seem to - or at least they haven't commented or added it. Perhaps it's not 'flashy' enough. :giggle: But yes, I most certainly will finish the story, but I'm afraid it may take some time...

Thank you for your kind words.
