But more kept appearing. Now and again, a line of them ran up the kitchen wall.

At least five or six were always peeping over the edge of the bathtub.

Clusters of them formed over spillages and crumbs on the dining table.

They even invaded unopened packages and lidded jars. Kezia's tempers grew dreadful. She made the most unholy fuss.

"...the most unholy fuss." !!!!!!!! Your turn of phrase!! *Delighted.* I must say, I've not heard or read anything of that sort since I left England, years ago... *Childhood-home-sick.* They don't write like that in America.
