Photographed version of my original binding design for the 150th anniversary edition of Edward FitzGerald's translation of the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, published by The Folio Society, in a limited edition of 1,000 copies (November 2009): [link]

This is just to show the metallics which of course are not apparent in this scanned version:

Gold, silver and copper gouache on 160 gsm/98lbs Daler Rowney pastel paper, about ?325 x 245mm.

Please excuse the lopsided photograph; it was merely to serve the purpose mentioned above. ^^;

A photograph of the final binding on the actual book will be submitted once I have my artist's copy.

Absolutely stunning. You should be very proud with how it came out.

Absolutely, wonderfully beautiful piece. Truly a joy to look upon, like your other artworks. I'm glad that you uploaded this photograph in addition to the scan; it really does show the metallics well. Thank you so much for sharing your artwork; it always brings a smile to my face.

Also, congratulations on how well the book sold! I know you didn't get paid by book sales, but I imagine it's nice to know that one is instrumental in the overwhelming success of a business venture.

Always one of my favorite books. One of my teachers gave me a copy for graduation. I really like your work for it.

The book looks beautiful, Niroot! I wish with all my heart that I could buy one...

But since I don't have $800, I guess I'll just have to be satisfied gazing at your works through the internet.

You've done a wonderful job on it, though. Congratulations.
