Scanned for me by the wonderful ~slightlytriangle from a colour photocopy.

I scribbled a little Conté crayon over some areas of the sky and used some of it for the reflected lightning in the clouds - sadly, the copy has made this rather harsher and grainier than it actually is in the original.

Sharp eyed observers will not only notice the slight change in the background rocks for a better composition. The art director at Templar (a UK publisher) reminded me of the strangely prudish attitude of American children's publishers (just as a matter of course, in the event that co-editions might arise), who would be sure to balk at even the kind of chaste nudity with which Andromeda is here depicted (incidentally, I much prefer her in the rough as a better drawing), so more hair had to be strategically blown to cover her one visible breast. They would even go so far as to find discomfort in Pegasus' genitalia (I kid you not). As there was no way I could cover this, however, I simply had to avoid drawing it altogether.

wow this is amazing! This is one of those pictures I could stare at for hours. As a fan of Nordic and Greek mythology, I don't seem to find many images in that genre that are so eye-catching. I really like this, I think you did a fantastic job and it's very inspiring!

This is now one of my most fave pieces of all time. Seriously! The colors are amazing, but scans always ruin everything, I wish that I could see this in person. It would have 10x the kickassery that it has now. ;)

Yea, I hate America... there was a children's book that mentioned a dog (the main character) getting his scrotum bit or something, and parents all went in a tizzy about it. Seriously... we're such sissy's now it isn't even funny. Didn't the original sketch have the Pegasus' genitals on there? Or did you even show the sketch?
