Papercut for 'The Seance' by Himmapaan Papercut for 'The Seance' by Himmapaan
I heard this evening that John Harwood's novel The Séance (published by Random House) will be available in stores this week, so I was prompted to upload this papercut I did for its jacket design.

The jacket and cover itself is printed just in black, so you won't know how the original was created - unless you happen to see this. I think I was fairly close to developing a twitch by the end of it. I'd also worn out about a dozen scalpel blades.

When I get sent my artist's copies of the novel, I'll post the printed jacket too.

My apologies that I don't have a much better photograph than this.

{It also belongs to a rather curious category. It is both a papercraft and an illustration - but DA doesn't allow for both.}

It's beautiful. And I can only imagine the work behind it. And it makes me curious to read the novel (:

This is an amazing artwork your paper cut artwork can even go more heart touching if you do much in paper cut, and which we all expect from you.

I am literally speechless. I could never be able to do anything like this, not even an incredibly simple papercut.
