For those who didn't care for the Holiday Hadrosaur (and why ever not, pray? *Folds arms*) here's a tiny pop-up reindeer for you. Not too belatedly, I trust, as it's still Christmas until Epiphany.

It's a little cruder than I usually manage, which means I must be rather out of practice. The scalpel wasn't as sharp as it should have been either, and I foolishly neglected to change the blade.

Ivory Ingres paper. The base measures 90 x 55mm when closed. The penny is for scale.

Sir, you are the god of detail in traditional media. this little deer made me realise how little I can still do with paper (and you call it crude!). I love your precision. all your works are always so intricate and elegant. you are a truly extraordinary artist.
I wish you to never cease to amaze us in the new year!

I'm still amazed, even if you think it's rough. :) Beautiful!

This is so dainty and just... I don't know, I think 'lovely' is the word I want.

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm guessing that's a UK (or British, not sure if all of the UK shares monetary units) penny? How do they compare to US pennies in terms of size?

It is exactly the same size as a US cent, which is why I thought it a relatively suitable coin to use. :D

Thank you for your kind comment!

You and I have different definitions of crude! :giggle: It's so lovely and tiny - very darling. It's amazing how paper can become so three-dimensional.

And yup - Christmas until Epiphany, so I'm not late with this comment either. =P

Happy New Year!
