The clarity and shimmering quality of this is very nice. I really like how you used the white of the backround as cloud. The bower of roses accentuates very well the gaze of the seated figure, and also is very effective in giving rythm to the design, tying the two figures together.

Thank you very much. I seem to have become very fond of diagonal compositions. They allow for lots of breathing space whilst lending some small dynamism to an otherwise very restful and still scene such as this one.

This is absolutely gorgeous! You know what this reminds me of, the paintings made by Edmund Dulac in the 19th century. I admire you so.
