Arabian horse head cameo sculpted from Fimo.
The original is at present having resin copies of it cast. I've forgotten its exact dimensions, but it fits into a palm... No bigger than a medallion. Head detail: [link] Mane detail: [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-10The attention to detail in Gillespie by *Himmapaan is stunning. Details such as the wispy flowing mane across the neck and the head really add to this piece, for me however the part that really stands out is the expression of the horse. Although it doesn't necessarily portray any emotion the steely gaze seems fixed on a distant object as though thinking or perhaps wondering of the past. (Featured by ^Thebuild) |

You can see the tiny dust particles that got into it (which I was rather annoyed about!). Since taking the photograph, I sprayed the piece with white primer just to conceal them!
