This perhaps rather provocative illustration was commissioned by Brian Switek for his forthcoming book, My Beloved Brontosaurus. ). The image quality in the blog entry is better too and doesn't suffer from the same woeful compression as here.

I love the fuzziness! I can imagine this would be provocative for traditionalists, but what's science without some wild hypotheses to encourage further research?

It depends on many things, I'm afraid. This was for a publication, so it was not unlike most of my other work. I find it very hard to fit in personal commissions and to know how to price it.
