~What, more?
~Yes, sorry. :blushes:

Some straightforward observational drawing from several years ago. - simply for 'archival' purposes, so to speak.

Oh, my goodness.
I'd love to become an illustrator myself, but everytime I see your work, it makes me stare in awe, and feel like it's foolish to even think about trying to do that as well.Wow.

Oh, no, you mustn't think that at all!

I know I think that too, and very often, when I see the work of those I admire. But take heart, keep trying and employ your strengths. There'll be something for which you'll be 'right'.

Are you serious, even YOU think so sometimes? I have to admit that's astonishing to me. =)
You know, it's not that I'm disabling myself, but the question is whether I have a chance when there are so many great illustrators in this world already. =)
Thanks anyway for the kind words, I'll take them to heart!

Yes, I feel it continually, truth be told. But I don't expect that's much different from many artists seeking to improve and evolve.

I understood you weren't disabling yourself. The world needs diversity and we're hopefully contributing to that.

Guess you're right... we should see diversity as a chance for everybody, not as a disadvantage for a handful of people. Thank you =)

Don't apologise, these are fascinating.
And it's YOUR gallery XD

I like the hinted texture of fur on the shoulders... for some reason that's my favourite part ^_^

Thank you so much.
I was just a bit concerned they were proving rather annoying - so many of these little old things at once... ^^;

Anyway, I'm leaving you all in peace for a while now. :D *Prepares to vanish into the mist* :XD:

Any good black tea will do very well. Just use more tea and brew for longer for more strength. :D

~More? EEEEEEE! :giggle:

Hehe, those Assyrians did know how to carve! Definitely a subject worthy of your drawing skill! :D

On an entirely unrelated note, I totally did manage to pay a visit to the library, pay my massive library fines and obtain Rusalka during my break at work today. Another EEE! circumstance. Thank you so much, Niroot! :D

 indeed! And it came with a copy of the libretto complete with an English translation, so I'll actually be able to follow the story. (Though I can figure out some of the words anyway, all the Slavic languages have vague similarities.)

Aha, the British Museum! My second home! Your pen drawing actually looks quite a bit like one of Annie's drawings. She was the Museum's illustrator until recently

Now, why in the world would you apologize for sharing your beautiful, inspirational artwork with us? If you run over my cat with a car, fine...please apologize for that. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure you're alright ;-).

Tea stained paper sketches of historical artifacts. CAN THIS GET ANY BETTER?

And finally...I'm pretty sure you've got the most beautiful handwriting I've ever seen. The end.
